Do you collect any data?
No. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. What you do in Chronos stays on your phone. You can read the whole story on the privacy page.

What does it mean that the hour "burns"?
When a session ends, the painted scene catches fire and burns to ash — completely. It is the app's way of saying the hour is spent and will not come back. After it burns, you weigh the hour, write a line if you wish, and press a seal (落印) to close it.

Can I get a session back after it burns?
No — and that is the point. A spent hour is gone the way a real one is. But the hour you weighed is not lost: it stays in your orchard as a fruit on that day's tree, with whatever line you chose to write. The painting burns; the record keeps.

Why are the sounds so quiet? Where are the sound files?
There aren't any. Every sound in Chronos is synthesized live from pure math — wind, water, birds, the ring of a tap — generated in the moment rather than played back from a recording. Nothing loops, because nothing was ever recorded to loop. The result is meant to be soft and easy to sit beside; turn your volume up gently if you'd like to hear more of it.

How do I change how fast time passes?
Turn the dial. A session is always thirty in-app minutes, but the inner ring sets how many real minutes those take — anywhere from 5 (fast and fiery) to 45 (slow and calm). The outer ring sets the hour of the day, which chooses the scene. Let go, and the hour begins.

What iOS version do I need?
Chronos needs iOS 18 or later. It's built for modern iPhones and uses current Apple frameworks throughout.
