Privacy Policy
New File+ · Effective July 27, 2026
The short version
New File+ collects no data. None. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the app makes no network connections.
What stays on your Mac
Your menu configuration (item names, scripts, and their order) is stored in a local app container on your Mac and is never transmitted anywhere. Files you create and scripts you run operate entirely on your local file system, launched only when you click a menu item you configured.
What we never see
- Your files, file names, or folder structure
- Your scripts or their output
- Your identity, device information, or usage patterns
Permissions the app requests
macOS may ask you to enable the Finder extension and, if you use the Show/Hide Hidden Files action, to allow the app to control Finder (needed to relaunch it). These permissions are used solely to perform the action you clicked and can be revoked at any time in System Settings.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the change noted here.
